I’m hoping to jam with a drummer soon so was curious if there are any lessons that just have drums as the backing track? I’m not really sure what to prep for jamming but thought this could be a start
Thanks in advance

You should be able to just do a search on YouTube and get tons of real drummer drum grooves. I’m not aware of any lessons with drum only backing tracks that feature a live drummer on a kit like you are suggesting. If you play with a drummer, it’s usually based on actual songs and you would be better off just learning the songs to play to or backing tracks based on those songs.
I would find out what songs the drummer knows and you can tell him what songs you know in advance so you have something to work with when you finally get together. If it’s just blues, then you can search for shuffle type beats and use a variety of those to get you going.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Hi Ben. There is one (drum only) backing track here and that is Ep575. But considering you want to prep to play with a drummer, the following Ep lessons have a strong dominant drum track with minimal bass or 2nd guitar.
Ep tracks: 631, 626, 621, 611, 608, 600, 591, 577, 576, 568, 547, 536, 530, 490, 481, 480, 475, 465, 457, 447, 444, 439, 408 and 255.
This is also a good start, getting ideas from Brian’s lessons on how and what to play using the with and without guitar audio tracks. Then putting it into practice with some of those ideas.

I use a drum beat app called Drum Beats+. I often play the lessons just with a drum track, which allows me to play improv ad infinitum.

I cannot ever see myself using my phone for drum beats or anything related to recording or creating drum tracks to play with. How does that even work? Would you just play the beats through a Bluetooth connection to a PA system and play live to the beats? I would rather work in a DAW myself. I will occasionally call up online drum beats and played to the beat that way, but then it never gets recorded. It’s fun to just jam with though.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
