ParticipantHello Jamie. Great idea. I’m making this a sticky for you that way it won’t get lost in the up coming thread. Brian can make this a folder. You might run that by him also.
Finding people by their name in the forums is a bit confusing and takes a lot of time – I think a better way to do this is: everyone interested in participating in the AMJammers Inc. project, just reply to this thread.
This way, it’s easy to click on each other profile and send a Friendship request (so we can also send private group messages).
Please don’t use this thread for discussion, so we get just a list of profiles, with one single message per participant.

ParticipantYes, I’ve had difficulty locating some people’s usernames also. First of all, you have to know their exact username. And even then, you can’t find them by entering their username in the Search field. You just have to keep looking until you find something they posted.

ParticipantHi AM jammers,
I would like to participate, but I am a bit worried about how quickly you guys roll this out…?
Do I have to basically do it within a day or two ? I am used to a month with the challenge – hmm wonder if I am up to this ?
Would really like to participate this time as EP318 is a favorite of mine. What do I do next ?Peter

It really is all about ”melody”. The melody comes from a language from our heart. Our heart is the muscle in music harmony. The melody is the sweetness that it pumps into our musical thoughts on the fretboard. 🙂 6 stringer Pete

ParticipantHey everyone
Hope all is well. I’m curious about the AM jam group but was wanting to know some specifics before I dive in. I’ve been strumming chords for a long time and currently working on the blues course here to improve my lead playing and licks. I have a basic understanding of the pentatonic scale and positions. So, I’m asking, what are the expectations of the AM Jammers google group ? Are we jamming live on one of Brian’s lessons ?
Thanks for any info!
Loving this site

ParticipantI’m super excited about this. Let me say, I was set up with WIKILOOPS worldwide out of Germany. Lovely group of positive members but I never did one jam. Reason? The players were all advanced and it was ‘show me what you got’ In a friendly way of course. What I like about ACTIVE MELODY is that it is all about LEARNING as well as the enjoyment of playing guitar. And Brian has a special way via his lessons to make it fun. And my level of playing has improved just learning EP314 for example. Sorry for the long note. It would be good to jam with a jammer in real time using SKYPE or Zoom, or FACETIME on Mac which is super ez if you have it. I hope this post encourages others. Seek me out if interested, even if it’s just a Blues in A.

ParticipantYou know, their are a lot of gearhead guitar review videos on YouTube and with the Lockdown -we see quite a few. If I was jamming with more people I would have not have put the energy into buying my last 2, top-rated guitars. Which in hindsight I didn’t really need. So yes, I really encourage others to pm and reach out, and jam with others with zoom or skype- even a 3 chord blues in A or E. Perhaps Brian could do a video to motivate people and even get over their shyness. I think this is important. Fingers on the fretboard vs buying or trading the 5th or 16th guitar and the countless hours watching, dozens of new-guitar releases. Yes, fingers on the fretboard. And jamming with others for the pure fun of it.

ParticipantMy 2014 Mac is in the shop for a week getting a 2TB SSD and more RAM. Miss it already. I think the big issue is to make time and just go for it. An example would just to jam on a 12 bar in E or A with someone. Then post a lesson that maybe some on has worked on. One could just play the chords for a rhythm while the person played the Melody learned from his lesson of choice. That would be “Interactive Active Melody”. It could really catch on…
I print the tabs and enlarge the at Staples, LOL 😆Attachments:

ParticipantHi all,
I am really interested in joining the “Jammers” group! What a wonderful idea! How do I get involved? I love blues, and I like to both strum chords (currently learning the T-bone jazzy chords from Brian’s various lessons in this), and improvise lead (in my own limited way!) over backing chords.
Really love slow minor key blues!
I would love to jam with somebody via Zoom etc… 😁🎸
Btw, Marie: I have also been trying to upload my profile picture without success.. Imsee that you have done it… how do I do it?
