Very beautiful playing as always Catherine. I really appreciated your step up in video production with multiple camera angles and two guitars! Great job!

Great performance and production Catherine! Loved the acoustic guitar part that you added to the original backing track and you electric guitar melodies on top were just beautiful!

Very classy submission, Catherine. The backing track, which I think is very beautiful in itself, wasn’t overwhelmed and your guitar parts fitted perfectly. I thought the double bends sounded terrific and appropriate for the setting.

Well, that worked out pretty well with the editing, Catherine. Great sound! And as always, your playing is incomparably beautiful. And this time even twice!

Hi Catherine, that was beautiful and played with such sensitivity, absolutely beautiful when that happens! Your accompaniment was superb, giving both guitars and Brian’s piano space to shine!

Hi Catherine, I really appreciate and enjoy how you kept the lead simple and light over this track. You added just enough to flavor it… and what flavor! There was a sadness to the bends in your melody that spoke volumes. Really wonderful!

I always expect you to produce something cool and/or beautiful, which you did in this case, too; but I think I am now beginning to understand why.
You really allow yourself to feel the music. It is especially obvious in this case, probably because the backing track is so sweet, but I’m sure it applies to whatever you are playing.
As for the video production — I feel your pain. It is an altogether different skill to master and not nearly as much fun as the guitar.
Wonderful all around.

The two guitars blend very nicely. I especially like the electric blues licks.

Catherine, as always, your playing is superb. I am curious about your video/audio editing journey. What software are you using? Also, what kind of camera? Cheers. Pap

Hi Pap Im using Logic Pro X and for a camera I’m just using my iPhone, and the video editing is call Davinci Resolve, it’s a little more complicated then IMovie but I like to learn new things and the program is free for Mac not sure about Windows but I downloaded the free version, there is a paid version but I believe its really for more professional type of editing. I’m pretty pleased with it. Hope this helps!

Wow, you’re right into the whole world of music production now, Catherine. That was so skillfully done I would have thought you’ve been doing it all your life, rather than just a few weeks. Nice!

Hi Catherine, that was really good! I liked the acoustic and electric mix. I think this is the first time I’ve seen you playing acoustic. Nice Martin! Great job on the video editing as well.

Sweet set up you got there Catherine. The recording sounds great! I particularly liked the accoustic guitar part. The lead was very sweet also. I also use Davinci Resolve. Be warned, it will develop into an other time consuming hobby. Lots of fun to be had!

It’s great Catherine, I understand better now your guitar level, when I see the speed with which you apprehend the new digital tools ;-). Everything’s perfect! I love your acoustic version, and I’d love to see the full version of the video, to understand your phrasing on the fretboard.

Well done with the audio and video editing, Catherine. Great how you blended the two guitars!
I love your rhythm on that beautiful acoustic (Martin 000-28?).
Wonderful simple and catchy melody with such skillful dynamics.
I enjoyed listening very much…and its been a real inspiration.

Another masterclass by Catherine! Love the acoustic layer, the sweet bass transitions, and the way it blended so beautifully with the electric lead! A multi-layered composition, multi-layered video editing with smooth transitions, you’re stepping up in your recording game, Catherine! It’s great to see that, and I love your playing, even if you just play one note – you do it so well 🙂

Thank you so much I appreciate what you are saying truly! Im getting a real kick out of this recording stuff and video editing it’s fun but I’m still learning there is so much to learn. I look forward to getting our next challenge. I really enjoyed your submission that slide was wonderful and then the lead guitar added on beautiful! Slide is something I play around with but I need a lot of practice! LOL Thanks again Jola!! take care

Beautifully played on both parts , especially the bass runs on the acoustic.
You really “feel” the music .
Well done on the video and recording editing, you soon got to grips with it!Martin

Superb multitrack composition Catherine! Each track is simply delightful! Congrats on the video editing too!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.

That’s a captivating and delicate composition Catherine. Everything in harmony with none of the instruments overwhelming each other. I think Paul nailed it when he commented on how you seem to feel the music.
Your production was spot on too. Those first few videos with new software are always a bit of a challenge but you look to have it under your fingers already, nice blend of camera angles and transitions. -
