i am finding 286 to be harder than any lesson so far i have try the double hammer on is coming will be watching the lesson again on the walk up bar 16 and 17 very trickly i have been playing it now for 3 weeks once its all together i will try to post it keep on picking john

Hey John, if you keep at it, one time you’ll try it and you’ll be able to do it. Frustrating thing is that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to do it the next time. But pretty soon it will be part of the things you can do.

Yeah, that double hammer on is a challenge. It will come with practice. And that’s a good thing since Brian has used this in more than one lesson.

You may be doing this already but one of the keys to a song like this is to practice it at about one third or even one fourth of the speed as you are getting those changes under your fingers. Soundslice is such an excellent technology to assist in these endeavors
I will agree that EP286 is a beast in many respects but it is well worth it. Its one of Brian’s best lessons for the blues rocker b/c of all that you can take away from it. It took me nearly 2 weeks to get all of the pieces put together
One main point – don’t be concerned if you don’t play it exactly like Brian does, make it your own. When the time comes, you can play it as Brian did and then your own take on it.
