I have a built in looper in my amp, but, it is some what limited. So, I never use it… My biggest problem is hitting the foot switch at the correct time with it. I had looked at ‘real’ pedals and if I ever got one, it would have to have a “auto” switch, i.e, it would start the record of the loop when it got a signal from the guitar, i.e, when you pick a note or strummed. But, yea, that looks like fun..;)
Don't practice till you get it right, practice till you can't get it wrong.

Yeah me too, have a built in which is limited,,this one suppose to do everything as you mentioned.. auto start button,, was watching some demos on youtube how to use it.. going to play with this awhile,,might try the Jimmy Hendrix stuff it has a reverse button. Think Eric Johnson does a good reverse of Jimmy Hendrix using these pedals. I may buy one if I enjoy it.. what is most important is using it for timing/tempos..great for practicing modes /keys too.. although can always find great jamtracks for any genre/key on youtube too. cheers!

I bought a Boss RC-3 a year ago, and after messing around with it for a while now, i realized that I want to be able to alternately turn different loops on and off. So I just bit the bullet and ordered a Boss RC-300. I’m going to get serious about this looping thing.

Looper logic – start recording at the end of your intended loop and finish just past the beginning.
