This is wonderful… my kind of guitar arrangement. I love the Hendrix(y) licks and the arpeggios at around 1:00-1:07. Linking chord voicings together with licks, riffs and solos is the epitome of guitar arrangement/playing. I did something similar but to a backing track. So many great licks in there, and you really explore the fretboard. I just love playing call and response improv like this, it’s such a fun and engaging way to spend practice time.

That sounded great – cool fills and a driving Stones-type rhythm, and a perfect tone. What’s not to like. I think you’re trying to fool us all about missing a beat.

Not only it sounded great but also – what a great exercise for lead playing! It was my initial idea to go with some rhythm and licks arrangement but it proved to be too much, therefore I appreciate your presentation even more! And if you skipped a beat, I couldn’t tell. There was a good amount of variety to the licks you played, I feel like it was a good I-IV transitions study. You are Brian’s A+ student, indeed.

At 1:28 an extra beat crept in, but since it was approaching the outro, most people would never notice it. Very cool idea to connect the chords with fill licks in multiple neighborhoods of the fretboard.

Nice two chord jam with the call and response theme worked a treat
Catchy rhythm with some tasteful fill licks .
I’ve had a couple of listens to detect the timing glitch, it doesn’t really stand out as you play through it .

Really nice! I like the call and response aspect of riffs and strumming. Didn’t look/sound like you were struggling at all.

I thought it was more at @1:26 but it if the whole band did that, it would be correct. 🙂

As I mentioned in John’s post, my favorite playing style is combining chords with licks. I wish I could do it as well as you do here, WPB. I didn’t hear anything wrong with the timing. I just had a slight suspicion toward the end. Oh now I see it’s already solved. But I think you always hear much more yourself than any listeners do. Great job!
