My open mic performance with a duet rhythm track similar to the Steve Cropper one on the original recording.
2 years ago I was terrified of performing in front of people. Getting more confident every Friday. 🙂

Nice one, Brian! And now it’s time to batten the hatches for that cyclone that’s supposed to hit us tonight.
BTW, I went to a party here in Devonport a couple of weeks ago, and was surprised to see Tim Finn hanging out amongst us hoi polloi. Since then I’ve also seen Neil Finn walking around the village. Long live Split Enz and Crowded House!

Brian, nothing like a little stress innoculation to overcome your fears:) The good thing is you can play and sing. Where did the whistle come from? Great performance. Pap

The main whistler was Dave the rave, who plays percussion (among other things) along with most people’s acts. He’s great, you’ll often a hear a sweet harmonica part appear just at the right time in someone’s act & wonder where it’s coming from ! That’ll be Dave. 🙂

Nice lead/rhythm part over your live performance.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Brilliant performance – times two 😂 – from you, Cloughie – no sign of nerves that I could see on your live performance, and you had the audience right there with you – well done! – Mark 👍🎶😎

Great idea to add a rhythm track to your live video, Cloughie. It works really well. By the way, great live performance, and the audience is totally into it. Looks like you know what you’re doing.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be May/June
There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum
I look forward to meet you.

Nice melodic lead to compliment the open Mike performance. Looks like you’ve got a full house .

Well done, you had the audience in the palm of your hand and to able to sing and play with confidence is a bonus. Hope more see this for inspiration in doing open mics to overcome the fear of playing in front of people. Playing a complementary lead over this for a sub was such a great idea.

Now – that was something different! How cool that you perform regularly to a live audience and are growing as a live performer! Playing the rhythm along the video recording was a cool idea and it was fun to listen to 😃
