What do you mean “used to” John. You saying you don’t play electric any more 🤔?
If that’s the case please get back to playing electric so you don’t deprive us of your playing. This was a fantastic rendition. The Rhythm had something of Santana about it and your improv was Really good and very creative. Thoroughly enjoyed listening 🎶
By the way, I was trying to figure out what you were doing at the end. Sounded like you were playing Octaves but not completely sure of that.
Get back to electric! 😁

I was being facetious… I think I was playing through my Gargeband distortion, delay set up. It has the Santana vibe, I should have snuck the “Oye Coma Va” lick in there but I was afraid I would botch it. Tried to be simple as possible. Thanks for the compliments.

Oh, thank goodness for that John.
I have come to the conclusion over the years that simple is best and you demonstrated that very well with this post. You seemed quite thoughtful playing this leaving lots of space before putting in the next phrase, that always sounds great to my ear and use that as inspiration for my playing too.

Ha? Used to? This is terrific, John. The tone and effects you used are great for this. Everything is so smooth and mellow yet vibrant. Quite Santana-ish. Excellent playing, John. More please!

Great tone and drive. Makes me want to jam out with you. 🙂
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.
