Hi All,
Here is a cover of The Bluest Blue by Alvin Lee that I did a few months ago, but just now got around to creating the video. Not anywhere as good as Alvin Lee, but the best I could do. If you haven’t heard the original, you should check it out. Absolutely awesome guitar and Alvin got his buddy George Harrison to play slide.

Beautiful rhythm, lead, and vocal cover Alan. Awesome tone and guitar playing. I am imagining you playing this at a blues jam. I’m guessing you sang while playing the rhythm part and added in the lead. Is that correct?
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Thanks Michael! I actually recorded 3 different tracks for this one. Rhythm first, voice second (so I could focus only on vocals), and then lead last.

Really nice, Alan. I enjoyed every part of that. Thanks for sending me off to hear Alvin’s rendition, I was a big fan of Alvin’s in my youth.

Excellent cover Alan. Vocals were great. Beautiful job mixing it. A really beautiful song. Alvin Lee was a great guitarist.

Wow, Alan, that’s an awesome song. One of my absolute favorites. I’ve been a big fan of Alvin Lee for over fifty years. And that’s why I can say that your interpretation is a wonderful tribute to the great master.

One of my favorites! Excellent rendition, Alan!
Your guitar accompaniment and soloing were impeccable, and really nice bluesy vocals – loved it!
Would love to see video next time please 🙂

Thanks André! The effects helped my vocals a bit (a weakness I’m trying to develop)

Lovely rendition Alan! One of my favourite blues songs and your payed a very good homage to the great Alvin Lee .
Liked very much your guitar rhythm parts and your solo at the end: you didn’t try to copy Lee (which is in fact impossible I guess 😅) but came out with your own very soulful and original melody.
Great vocals too for a very enjoyable and inspiring rendition!

Thank Guido! Yes, I could practice 24/7 for a lifetime and still not be able to copy Lee!

Really well done Alan. I enjoy your vocals. You have an ‘earthy’ voice. Keep singing. Guitar work is fantastic. Great choice-cool arrangement-a great listen. Thanks for sharing.
