Does anyone know if I can use the line out of my amp into a Focusrite 2i2?

Right now I’m using the USB connection but I have to turn the volume way up on my Fender Super Champ X2 in order to get a decent volume level in Logic Pro 11.

Yes, you can connect the line out of your amp into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The Scarlett 2i2 is designed to accept both microphone and line-level signals through its combo inputs.

          Connection Instructions
Use the correct cable: You will need a standard 1/4″ instrument cable (TS) or, preferably for a balanced signal and better noise rejection, a 1/4″ TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) cable, depending on the type of “line out” jack on your amplifier. Check your amp’s manual for the specific output type (balanced or unbalanced).

          Hope this helps Joe

Thanks John. I just tried it and it works like a charm. Now my wife won’t complain it’s too loud!
