        Hi AM Friends,

I was practicing EP598. It turns out much more challenging than I thought, so switched to this simple blues licks from TikTok. Backing track is from apple music “Betty Blues Backing Track”. Hope you like it.

Tao, the licks sounded really good against the backing track.

I do like it Tao. Loved that twangy strat tone you used for this.

I took a peek at EP598 and I see what you mean. Some of the things Brian is doing there has too much reach for my Dupuytren’s riddled hands. Typically I try to find an easier way to play it even if it doesn’t sound quite as good.

Blooze indeed! You laced that with some classic blues moves. Great playing Tao.

Tao, do you speak French in reference Vive la music?

Many thanks André. Vive la and c’est la vie are pretty much all French I know😅. It just sounds cooler in French.

This is terrific, Tao. Truly a pro-level performance. Phrasing, tone and technique are all excellent.

A really nice minor blues, Tao, brilliantly played! Sometimes better pick up something simpler, but nice, that we can play without struggling. Excellent rendition!

Gave this a listen again Tao. I have to say I am impressed at your steady improvement since I started listening to you on this forum – it is pretty clear you put a lot of time and attention to your playing and it makes a difference!

I don’t know if you celebrate the Christmas season but, if you do, happy holidays Tao 🙂

Merry Christmas to you and your family Geoff🎅🎄 And thanks for your support along the way. I used to be church man, but stopped attending at some point. I do play almost every day, and I can feel recording does help a lot to identify areas to improve as I was suggested.

Oh yeah, recording is very helpful, we we hear ourselves it really shows where we can improve. I should record every practice I do but it is hard to set up.
