        I’m sitting poolside in the Mayan Riviera scrolling YouTube. Loved this short video of a Clapton solo in “I Shot the Sheriff”. I could listen to this all day.

          Very pentatonic John, the key to it is, can you make it sound fresh and authentic. EC always finds a way. Btw, please help yourself to a beer on me.

            I’ll think of you with my lunchtime cerveza, Richard.
            Pentatonic over a minor blues is a sound I’ve always loved. I think he tastefully throws in the occasional major 2nd and 6th.

              I’ve listened to EC since I was young but his phrasing now reminds me of the way Brian plays 🤣
