Gosh doesn’t time fly anyway this was going to be all sorts I’ve various backing tracks multiple ideas from a cool gilmour type vibe with heavy fuzz lead to a heavy metal attempt although I have learned a couple of Gilmour solos and done some work on heavy metal rhythms and got very sore fingers from all the double bends hey ho
In the end I ran out of time pared it back to a lounge lizard style and just played over a drum beat for a couple of minutes hence no vid

No Gilmore solo Greg but still some pretty cool licks coming through at my end. Referencing Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ I wish we had more of it! Anyway, keep on pickin’ and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

I’m glad you ended up doing this submission Greg. I think you should entitle it “The Lounge Lizard”. It really told a story – an oily type meeting an attractive lady in a swish bar – probably in the 1920s. Great, great music.

Great stuff Greg!!! Send in David style next time. You are right about those double bends – like his awesome solo in Another Brick in The Wall!! I broke many a strings learning that one! Well done here. B

Nah, I wouldn’t call it lounge lizard style. It’s more like exploring with some Gilmourish noodling over an ambient background. I reckon you should have laid down a second track with occasional strums to identify the chord changes. Your noodles are lovely, meandering over the fretboard with plenty of bends and other tricks.

You ripped some seriously expressive licks and bends in your lounge lizard mode Greg. They sounded really good. Great improvisation. And cool studio!

Hi Greg, well, maybe not what you had in mind, but still some nice sounding licks. I can hear a bit of Gilmore in them. They’ve got that laid-back vibe and some smooth bending.

Nice licks in your submission. Well done.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Whatever the tools or the process, this sounded great, Greg! It had just enough ambience and blues to my liking and of course, it was played really well, as always in your case. And yeah, the two chord vamps are awesome 😉
