Hi Fellow AM-ers,
Here’s my entry for the March Challenge: Taking the February Challenge “C-F-G” entry a little further down the line! Several folks in review of my Feb. piece suggested they might like to hear some lyrics over that chord progression, so that was the motivation for this entry.
I’ve added lyrics and an ‘open’ G chord to carry the melody, and named this version: “Mulberry Tree.”
A really, really, really fun piece to play! Wish I had someone to “jam” with on this tune! Some percussion, and maybe a bass line!!
If I ever get time, I may try to add some of that using my Yamaha P-125 keyboard.
The toughest part there is “getting time” – LOL!
Your suggestions for further development are always welcome, and SOME may even be simple enough for me to incorporate. :0)
Good luck to all for this month’s challenge. I’ll spend the next few days enjoying and learning from all the great music works entered for March!

Hey Marie, let it rip on the Yamaha for a backing track and then the world is your oyster as far as guitar improvisation goes. Nice tune.

Marie, that was really well composed and played. Nice lyrics. The thing that stood out the most to me was your timing. Really well done with that strumming pattern. You are very talented and that was fund to listen to.

Always good to get your review. So glad you liked this tune.
It certainly IS fun to play. I kept having to cut it down because it was so much fun, once ya get into that groove it’s hard to stop and keep it within a reasonable time. LOL!
