Hello,
Geoff infected me with the classical music virus.
Here are 2 lute pieces in C major from the baroque period:
Courent italienne by Arcangello Corelli (1653-1718)
Courante by Ernst Gottlieb Baron (1696-1760)
I like the Courante very much as a quiet dance music with flowing eighth notes.
In the background a little bit of the mood from that time. (Unfortunately with a tragic ending)
Have fun with it.Dieter

Very pretty melody, and very well played Dieter. Not very well played by the deceased Swordsman. Very colorful video.

Nice piece, made me think of Shakespeare, To Be or Not To Be.

Very well played Dieter. Your tone, clarity and recording quality is excellent in this – really enjoyed it. As I am sure you know, I just love the elegance of the music from the Rennaissance and Baroque periods.
That little video excerpt you included there was pretty fun to watch too. One thing I wish we still had in our culture was the kind of dancing they did back then – probably considered a little nerdy nowadays but it must have been fun. That sword play just looked darned dangerous and I would happily pass on that. One thing I can’t help wondering is if women back in those days would have taken up sword fighting as a hobby, I am guessing probably not, but you can correct me if I am wrong on that.
