I didnt know about Derek Trucks, I only knew about him and heard him for the first time, about a month back (when I saw him killing it sitting between the two greats, BB King and John Mayer, then started looking up his works). This guy is madness, is that a genius?? Any other Fan other than me???

I think, this guy will be a major part of my guitar inspiration, for ever … 🙏🙏

Derek is a great player for sure and spent many years with The Allman Brothers Band. Warren Haynes had played slide for the ABB prior to Derek joining
You should check out Warren’s slide playing too, as well as Sonny Landreth. Among players that are still with us, Sonny is actually my fav slide player with Warren in that #2 spot
Warren played a great solo at the end of the Brothers’ tune Seven Turns

Duane Allman will always hold the #1 spot for me

And the marriage of Derek Trucks to Susan Tedeschi, which resulted in the formation of the Tedeschi Trucks Band, is one of the greatest love stories of the blues world.

Was so impressed by Susan too. What a lovely couple; what an inspiring band. 🙏🙏
