Here is my latest lesson, I like this piece because now the caged system is beginning to make sense and it makes it easier to learn and remember stuff.

That sounds great! I like the tremolo effect.

So this may sound outlandish but I have never played and entire composition with the tremelo, this is the very first time I ever tried to set the effect up and record with it.
I once heard and saw an interview with Greg Koch who was talking about tremelo effect and how it is built into his signature amp, he talked about setting the timing so that is was comfortable in the measure or something like that, anyway this is my first time.
I am looking for what I sound like, with the gear that I have, I used the coil tap on the neck pickup and dialed back the tone and volume and used the middle position on the toggle switch.
This epiphone es339 is easily one of the most versatile and best sounding guitars I have ever owned.
The amp is a model of a fender vibrolux or something like that in amplitube 4.

Well played, Jon. I love those gospel lessons Brian puts out. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what makes a song “gospel style”, but I think it has to do with the chord sequence and the tempo. Sometimes I have a hard time telling the difference between gospel and R&B.

In most of them there is a movement to the diminished fourth before returning to the one, and moving to a seventh of the one before going to the four.
I like the one and two and three and for and feel of the rhythm, is that quarter notes?

Yes, I like that slide part too, I think that’s in my pride and joy cover also.
Do you ever sit and identify parts of your own playing and where they come from?
