This was always something I wanted to learn how to play when i heard it on the radio driving,, i’d turn up the volume for the soloing.. Joe Walsh and Steve lukathur playing lead solos in this Don Henley hit ..past few days bouncing between both solos.. they are short and having fun figuring them both out without tab.. i learned these by ear also watching youtube at slow speed makes it possible to figure out the right notes/patterns etc. for both solos… after this presentation going to try Lukather’s cool solo 2 ..Steve’s in key of G and I like that solo especially ..he climbs up all the positions in G ,,some crazy cool pentatonic licks in both solos.. this demo needs more practice,, i was doing some improvisation aside this Joe Walsh solo..it’s in key of F ,,found the backing track on youtube.. hooping all is safe and well so far so good here!

Very cool, Sunburst John! Joe Walsh seems to be experiencing kind of a come-back lately. I see him all over Youtube. And the way you played that….it seems like the coronavirus pandemic has been good to you. I think I’m probably a little better at playing guitar than I was last month.

Good job, John! First on figuring out the solos (I know from experience that this can be tedious) and second on your playing. Top notch!

Joe Walshes early stuff is the iconic phrasing that really grabs me. Have you heard this?
