One of my favorite recent lessons, I struggled with keeping the chords short and sharp and took a while to get some of the timing right. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks

well done Dan, you nailed it. Great accuracy with the fills, very nuanced phrasing, and great tone. And you did all that without the backing track. Congrats!

Thanks for the comments. I haven’t worked out how to record the backing tracks with a decent sound yet, hopefully I’ll sort that out soon.

Really good, Dan. Importing the tracks into a digital audio workstation and recording your guitar as a separate track is very satisfying. Playing with the track is the real test of your timing, I’m sure you’d have no problem.

I thought it sounded great without a track Dan. I’m sure that would have captured any listeners attention. No constructive criticism from me, although it would be cool to hear it over a track too.

That was really really sharp, Dan, great strumming on the chords! It was so good I forgot all about the jam track 🙂

Dan this is really sweet sounding. I really can’t find any weaknesses or errors. I will say your execution, timing and tone are exceptional. Like Charjo says “playing with track can be very satisfying.” I totally agree. You might have a fuller sound but I will say this. Playing solo without tracks in my option is not easy. You kept a great balance between rhythm, timing, Chording and your fills. Job well done! BTW you are a fine player!

Thanks John, I really appreciate those comments. I think playing will a jam track will help my timing improve so I’m aiming to try that out soon. I’ve learnt so much already after only being on the site for a few weeks. I didn’t know anything about chord shapes or the fretboard. I can see what there are so many people on this site!

Perfect, Dan. You play flawless, exemplary and have the timing in a good mood. You have it. Thumbs up.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

I really liked the work you put into the damping chukka sections after completing some rhythm lessons last month getting a loose flow through while having crisp damping is

Well played there man, easiest way to play along to a backing track imho is to download it to whichever device you have, phone, ipad/pod, tablet or laptop and connect to your amp through the aux socket, control the backing track vol from your device and your good to go.
Looking forward to hearing you play some more...Billy..

Thanks everyone. Billy, I’ll give that a try , although I have a fairly old amp so I’m not sure it has an Aux output. I will figure something out I’m sure.
