Rock / Country Rhythm Guitar Lesson (Part 1 of 2) – EP091

Description

In this guitar lesson, learn how to play an up-tempo, driving rock / country rhythm on electric guitar (although you could do this on acoustic as well). This lesson uses a combination of country and classic rock licks. I’ve included a slower version of the MP3 jam track as well for those that are just getting started with this style of playing. Also, for premium members, scroll down to check out the Soundslice tab / video player!

I play guitar as a hobby.  Your methods and lesson content is the best I have seen.  I look forward to seeing your lessons each week.  This one is very nice.  See you in Part 2.

The more I use SoundSlice the more I like it.  I have Guitar Pro software and it has some good features, but it just a tab player with MIDI like sound. I love the way that SoundSlice syncs the audio, video, and tab into a complete package.

I have no idea how labor intensive it would be for you to go back and add it to your past lessons but it would be great if you could!

Really great lesson and something I have been wanting to play for a long time but it is deceptively difficult…. I looked at the TAB and thought it would be a breeze but fingers and brain don’t want to sync at the moment!

Another great lesson!!  I love the new technology and all the hard work you put in the lessons and site. Best value on the internet.

I wish I could really master one lesson before the next one comes, but maybe one day. Thanks again.

hi brian….now that I have found I can comment on the lesson page …I don’t have to email you any more…I just love these lessons with the STRUMMING a major part…whatever you call it…kind of like syncopation….
I only am able to try and learn about every 5th lesson…as they are so complicated…..what I am really trying to learn….are the muted strings….the strumming with strings muted….
and basically strumming with muted strings…
I just love the strumming with the e open and the b on the a string …STYLE STUFF   and you explain it so I can learn it…hudd from mex.  (wish I could explain better)

Great lesson!  I like your teaching method and how you explain everything.  Your sound is great and I was wondering what type and gauge strings you use on your telecaster and type of Amp and settings?

I am trying to play EP091 at a slower speed to learn it, but when I slide the speed selector at the left side of the screen nothing happens and when I click on the gear icon as directed to change the speed nothing happens and I cannot even get the loop to play at all.
