  Brian’s lessons inspired me to learn travis picking. I decided to jump into the deep end of the pool and learn this Chet Atkins tune. It is played at an “unhurried” tempo. This basically means that I can’t play it faster without losing control 😉

  I have tried to play this fingerstyle Chet’s song..it is not easy! You did it great! Awsome thumb picking and played very accurately. Love that song and I love Chet Atkins!

  You made a cracking job of this classic Wim. I always hold this tune dear to my heart as it was the very first Chet Atkins number I learnt back in the 60’s and I still enjoy it.

  Very well done a great tune played well and the clarity of the recording was nice too. The unhurried tempo suited my ear, I really like its pace here.

  I saw Tommy E. explain in a video that he heard Chet Atkins play this song through a radio in 1967 and that this inspired him to learn fingerstyle.

  Yes, and Tommy was amazed that Chet could play the bass line and chords/melody at the same time.
