Sometimes I wonder what kind of strings (size/brand) Brian is using on his acoustic Guitars (Alvarez/Taylor) because it seems he is playing so easy much like on an electric guitar?
Lately I’ve been using D’Addario XL Coated Nickel (EXP110) – 10 gauge strings. I also use Martin Lifespan SP Lights
Thanks Brian…

Wow. So light. I guess you can get away with that on those little parlor guitars.
Many thanks Brian – I will try them as well!
I have 10 gauge earnie ball extra lights on my alverez dreadnought.
sounds great, I have never the idea that heavier strings produce more sound to be true ( to my ear)
but I also have the ability to plug my dreadnought into an amp.
so louder isn’t a problem.
Everybody has their own preferences in guitar strings. I really like
Elixir Acoustic 80/20 Bronze Guitar Strings with POLYWEB Coating Extra Light (.010-.047) on my 2007 Martin HD-28 and Elixir® Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB® Coating, Custom Light (.009-.046) on my 1984 Fender Strat Plus. Now that I’ve allowed myself to get old, I have arthritis in my wrists and need to use much lighter gauge strings than in the “good old days”.
