So I’m in Long Island, NY visiting my in-laws and found out that this amazing guitar shop (museum?) is 20 minutes away!
If anyone saw the “Songbirds” documentary on Amazon, this is the shop that was involved with that.
Anyway, I was surprised they just let a shlup like me in without holding a suitcase of money. They even let me play a guitar or two! Luckily I didn’t look up the prices till after I was long gone.
They had a row of 59’ bursts…must’ve been a couple million on one wall. Must have a good insurance agent!
Couple original Teles (nocasters, esquires, broadcasters). I was a bit overwhelmed and just kept staring with a silly grin. Very cool place and the workers there must be used to it’s they were super friendly and helpful.

Guitar player’s heaven. Other than Joe Bonamassa’s collection I’ve never seen so many LP’s in one place. Strats and teles to the rafters, oh my. Humidity control must have been excellent. Who keeps all those guitars tuned?
