Hi all, a new member here. Is there anyone form the UK on here? I’m East Midlands / Lincolnshire. I’ve been playing for years but not really learning. I was given a Ibanez guitar for my birthday and have dived into the world of guitar theory which has made a huge difference to my playing.

Currently exploring the blues or anything else that catches my ear. I have a wide musical taste as long as there are some guitars involved!

Hi Alan – very big welcome to AM!

Yes, there are a number of us brits on here. I live in Buckinghamshire.

What a lovely birthday present – always nice to receive something you want, rather than aunties knitted jumper, or another pair of socks 😂😂

Best regards and enjoy the journey! 😎

I’m an older beginner and based in London. I’ll look out for your news and would welcome a chance to meet and play with you or any older players or beginners in the UK.

It certainly looks as though we’re quite well-spread, I’m in Oxfordshire.

I’m in Farndon just outside of Newark, Nottinghamshire, it would be great to practice with others, even through zoom or whatever medium

I know Discord is becoming a medium that I believe it replacing forums, I would love to see a Active Melody Discord group for Premium Members,

Hello Alan and the other Brits in this thread. I have just joined about 3 weeks ago. I started in lockdown when I saw a Facebook post about anyone can play using Djanjo chords (Busker chords). After that course felt like it was not pushing me I stopped, realised I like having something slightly structured. Working though the 3 courses probably too fast but keen to start the weekly lessons. I may redo the 3 course again in a months time.

I’m in Farndon just outside of Newark UK, close to A46, I’m actually from Toronto, now living here with my Miss whose from UK, fogggy cool today, just got back as Premium Member working on EP485 terrific triad lesson, I wanted to brush on them and Brian does a brilliant job of instructing
It would be great to hook with local members even just to practice together,

                                    Hi ya Brian,

Im not too far away as i live in Leicester.

I’ve just come back as a Premium Member after being away for a few years. I have always wanted to learn the guitar and have tried before twice but never kept at it due to mostly me not sticking with it so hopefully this time around i’m hoping its 3rd time lucky.

I’m going to be starting with the 3 courses that Brian recommends being a beginner but really want to stick with it this time as i would love to attend and play in a Blues Jam in the long term.

                                    -Steve
