Hi All!
Please do yourself a favour and check out the Teskey Brothers. Old school soul and blues. One of the best new voices I’ve heard in a long time.Greg

Thanks Greg, They are awesome. Best new music I’ve heard since Marcus King Band. The singers got soul dripping out of him.
Gonna have to hear more,
Big Thanks Greg,

Hey Greg, I just looked up Teskey’s and they’re from Australia. I thought New Orleans or Muscle Shoals.
Australia’s raising up some serious talent down down-under.

Hey Ralph
Yes, Australia. Who knew! And I agree, I find I’m listening to a lot of Aussie artists lately.
Thanks for the Teskey video post, they are amazing. Great tone! I’m glad you like it too. I also agree that Marcus King was the last musician that blew
me away prior to the Teskey Bros. I just ordered their Live Vinyl album that came out last year. Been listening to it on Spotify and it’s killer.Take care Ralph!

Thanks for posting this John. Man I love this music. Sounds like American soul from the 70’s. Like you said, definitely high quality music. First thing I’ve heard in years that made me go “Whoa, who is this”? The singer could sing the phone book and I’d listen all day. Great talent.

Hey John
Your posted video is one of my favourite performances on YouTube! So good! I also read that the Teskey Bros record to tape and do everything as it was done in the 60s 70s. The lead guitar brother is quite the engineer and does most of the recording himself. Great talent.
Take care!

I think he has a bit of the Otis Redding and Sam Cook in his voice and even a trace of Joe Cocker what a mix!
Here is a memory one they both did by Brian Owens and his Pop a great rendition :-

I’ve been lucky enough to see them live a few times here in Aus, after a tip off from a friend back in 2017.
They’re every bit as good live as you would imagine. If you ever get the chance as well, don’t hesitate.-

You are lucky to see them live, Andy! They were supposed to tour near me in Toronto last year and this coming fall but don’t think that will happen. Really bummed. Just ordered their Live Vinyl album that came out last year so that will have to do for now.
Take care!
Greg
