Soul Jazz Jam | Sexy Blues Guitar Backing Track (Gm)

I fooled around with some effects in Logic Pro and thought this sounded cool and fit perfectly with this backing track from Quist. It reminded me of the recent lesson Barry G gave us about organ tones.

        Gear used:
Indio Boardwalk
Fender Super Champ X2 with Delay
        Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Interface
Logic Pro 12 (ChromaGlow and Rotor Cabinet)
        GoPro Hero 12
        Final Cut Pro 12

That’s got a 60’s vibe to it for sure. Very spacey. Maybe the background imagery is affecting my sound scape.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Nice one, Joe. I think your technique is pretty solid. You seemed to be limiting yourself to the three positions and I kept hearing this motif of 5-b7-R-b3-R in the different positions. It was effective, was that inetntional?
Loved the video perspective and background, especially the big eye! The tone was very cool, also.

Yes, it was very intentional, I’m trying to learn the intervals and they sounded good to my ear.

Nice Joe. It reminds me of a lounge jazz thing I did a number of years back.

That is a cool vibrato effect 😎.

Very surreal and spacey. An unusual and interesting tone. Great audio and video production. Well-done, Joe.

Cool video and playing Joe. I love how you’ve really focused on phrasing in the last few videos. I think I mentioned before that you’re really allowing the music to breathe and in my opinion it’s the way to go! All the best! 😎🎸😎
