Slideing down the string….is it best to do this without playing on the string or on the string or does it all depend on what tune your playing….just having a little prob with this,
so the Q is To pluck or not to pluck???…..cheers,
peter.
It really depends on what the tune calls for. If you remember the instrumental “Wipe Out”, it’s played with the finger sliding down the fret board while being picked with the right hand in a quick up & down motion. To play with just one picked note & a slide down the fret board would have a different feel altogether & remember, you need to have a good amount of sustain to keep the note going.
I hope this helps a little
Cheers Mike
cheers for the reply mike…..so at the end of the day as you said it all depends on what tune your playing ( or trying to play ) thanks again.
