I wanted to use a Quist track & found 414 to be a great canvas with plenty of space to paint.
I did Brian’s solo which is minor pentatonic, and delicious. Then a couple run throughs using a more jazzy bluesy style with a bit of David Gilmour in there – mainly because the guy’s speaking to me more these days.
Hope you dig the mood here – intimate & blue.
Be kind to yourself (especially when you're trying to play this instrument!)

I love the whole vibe of this. Perfect blend of pentatonic riffs and more complex scale ideas. A very entertaining listen!

Yes, Cloughie, the Gilmour vibe really comes across. I enjoyed how you complemented this great backing track so congenially. Beautiful enough to melt away.

Very nice how blend different styles Cloughie, at least to my ear. They blend in very niceley and that makes an interesting composition to listen to. The Gilmore-esque bends are spot on!

Oh yes , I think one of your finest to date, working in your own ideas seamlessly with the original lead , and not overcrowding the track.
The gilmour sound is there for sure .Martin

Nice one, Brian – very professional sounding. I heard those Gilmour vibes toward the end. The older I get, the more I enjoy those slow jazzy blues tunes.

Ooh wow, you got me at Gilmour vibe!
I’d love that any time any day – beautiful playing, Brian! I heard PF phrase there but then it morphed into your own incredible soloing with a delicately jazzy flavor, really nice! Excellent choice of the track and a nice reminder of this wonderful lesson.🎸JoLa

Smoky and after hours vibes. Great touch Brian, very enjoyable. Like the Gilmore bends you got in there.

Gilmour and maybe a bit of Peter Green? Great influences, that’s for sure. Nicely played.
