Mick Abrahams, original guitarist with Jethro Tull passed away recently
Jethro Tull was one of many examples of the musical “creative explosion” in the 1960s, with so many different styles and great musical personalities. I must admit that Ian Anderson was the only member of the band I knew. But the whole band was, of course, made up of excellent musicians. It’s a shame that another of the greats has left us—but that’s just the way of the world.
Dieter
Tull was one of my favorites growing up as a kid. R.I.P.

I agree with what Dieter says. Also, most of their hits I remember came later on after Mick left because of creative differences. He was a good player for many years after Tull. RIP

Most of us have heard this early take when Tull was a blues band
This is Mick Abraham’s handiwork on lead guitar
Hey Keith,
Mick could really play and contribute to the song without stepping all over Ian. Thanks for bringing back cool memories of JT!

I really liked the Blodwyn Pig “Ahead Rings Out” album but haven’t heard it for years. I should revisit it.
