Recording help

Ok guys so a lot has happened this week,I sold my 2 crappy guitars to buy one a little better and was hoping it would be here by now but it’s still on the way 🙁 my brother gave me a lone of his beater guitar but it has no pickup and I have my new scarlet di2 with not a clue how to use it,I really want to post mays challenge so if I record myself on my iPhone can someone explain how I get the video from my iPhone up onto activemelody? I’m really no good with technology sorry guys,I know the quality won’t be the best but it’l be a start for me,thanks guys!

Hello Paddy,
I’m possibly not the best to answer your questions seeing as I do little to no video.
However there are some great “How to’s” on the forum which will answer the Video questions, Bryce has a few tutorials ..Like This One.. … best of luck man.

I don’t use an iPhone but on Android, from your video just hit the share icon and you can upload straight to YouTube. I upload as unlisted. Then just copy the link from YouTube to this forum. I imagine it is similar on your phone.

Thanks Doug I wanted to keep my playing off of YouTube for now as I don’t tink I’m good enough for the whole world to see.iv seen some nasty comments on other guys playing and I tink that is horrible,activemelody is very supportive but somehow I don’t tink the land of YouTube is as of supportive,thanks for your reply Doug if only everyone was as nice as you and billy and the rest of the guys on activemelody the world would be a much nicer place,thanks again dude

Totally understand on YouTube Paddy. That’s why I make mine unlisted. One can only access if they have the link already. I saw you were able to upload directly and bypass YouTube. That works too!

And I also agree I’ve not seen a more supportive forum on the internet than the group here. Welcome aboard and hope to see more of your posts in the future.

Hi Paddy post your youtube video as unlisted in your youtube account that way only those with the url on here can see it.

Your more than welcome man, we are all here to learn, support and help each other. If you dont want to use ..YOUTUBE.. then there is an option of ..VIMEO.. too.
Paddy, could I suggest if you are going to be using your phone for sound and video that you have a look at buying a tripod stand to hold your phone when filming.

Billy I’m heading to Dublin City today with my good lady for a few days brake and I will be visiting the biggest music store that Ireland has so I will definitely check to see if they have a tripod,thanks for the Tip dude 🙂
