THIS IS A SONG I WROTE AND RECORDED ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO. I FINALLY HAD TIME TO CLEAN UP THE MIX AND EQ, ADD REVERB, PAN. ETC.

I’M ALSO POSTING THE RHYTHM TRACK IN CASE ANYONE WANTS TO JAM ALONG TO IT.
IT’S IN E MINOR, AND THE E BLUES SCALE WORKS OVER ALL OF THE CHORDS.

        FENDER JAZZ BASS
        BOSS RHYTHM MACHINE.

        THANKS FOR LISTENING,
        RALPH P.

Train to Nazareth is superb.  Impressive on so many levels.  Clean, precise, articulate. EQ is perfect. Wonderful phrasing, tone, vibe and energy. One of the best original AM posts I’ve heard so far. Great homage to the Martin company. Please post more!

              Both parts are outstanding, Ralph.
I especially loved the fast phrases at 50s, 1:23s and 1:50s. Sounds like you individually picked most of the notes.

Thank You John. It’s good to have a little speed available when I feel like throwing it in for emphasis.

                  Wow Ralph wow!!!

I think this an absolutely brilliant composition by you and I can only agree with everything David L has said here. When I listen to this, I think you could have been out there on the professional circuit.

                  Fantastic work Ralph 👏 👍 .

Thank You Geoff. I had a lot of fun writing this one and throwing in some of my unusual chord voicings. My own personal favorite acoustic composition. I was especially happy with my bass playing on this. I think the bass line really helped move the track and gave it that “Train” vibe.

Thanks for listening and for your comments Geoff.

I could ‘t help giving this a listen again and I really love this work. One thing I can appreciate is what you said about your rhythm roots. I mean the lead part is fantastic, but I do love the way you chime in on the rhythm section. Love that ‘tail off’ at the end – were those suspended chords you were using there ?

Anyway, Kudos to you for this one Ralph. it is a great listen.

Top quality Ralph, lively, rich and dynamic. The backing track was also very smooth and impressive. Beautiful performance.
