Okay, this one needs a bit of explaining…
If you’re wondering why you can already hear Harald singing but can’t see him yet, it’s because the video isn’t finished. We’ll be recording the footage on Sunday evening – and in the final version there will be a lot less of Juxi. 😎I’d actually planned to release this Tito & Tarantula cover for Halloween, but I just ran out of time. So this version is being released especially for you and the Christmas Challenge.
I can already hear you saying: “Juxi, this is not a Christmas song!” But please reconsider: it’s got sleigh bells in it, so it definitely is a Christmas song. 😉Happy AM weekend to all of you!
Cheers,
JuxiBluesige Grüße

Definitely a Christmas song!
Love the movie, love the song, love your cover. Now that’s entertainment.
Did you have an actual wah pedal or was that an auto-wah effect? Love the tone.

Hi John, I did have an actual wah-pedal. The first time I used one in my guitar-career. I bought a “cry baby” especially for this cover. Soooo much fun!

That was awesome Juxi! I think it’s the first time I remember seeing you play your new upright bass. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Big smile on my face Juxi! Lot’s of fun here. The holidays stretch from Halloween until New Years Day, so you’re right in there, however you look at it.

Juxi, watch out for vampires, and Selma Hayek! Really cool cover, and great tones with that wah wah. Loving the upright bass too.

Wow Wow Wow, Juxi! You have LITERALLY outdone yourself here! What a production, and I loved it all! Your upright bass skills are already quite impressive, 3 guitar layers, percussion and some vocals – what a band!!! Both you and Harald have done an incredible job here and that includes the videography as well, just top notch and very entertaining! You are a natural entertainer with just the way you look at the camera. And yes, I heard the Christmas bell in there so it qualifies 😉

Wow, awesome cover of a great song from the legendary movie “From Dusk Till Dawn”. Loved the movie and the great soundtrack and especially the Tito & Tarantula songs in it .The song before this one, Angry Cockroaches (Cucarachas Enojadas) one my favourites too!
Great playing with all the instruments and especially impressed by the beauty of your contrabass and how you played it like a jazz master. Congrats also on the deep Harald’s vocals and on the amazing video and audio production!

That was one dark song for Christmas Juxi!!!!! Still in the UK we do have a tradition of a ghost story for Christmas and this would be a shoe in👍
Great cover, it looks and sounds the bomb already. Can’t wait to see the final.
Love that filter/wah/? effect you’ve got on the lead, been trying to get something like that out of my synth. -

Really fun Juxi,
I like Halloween better than Christmas, its more. I love the performance, vibe and layered approach to this. Where did you find the backdrop? Thanks in advance. I appreciate all the hard work that went into this.JH

When I saw the video thumbnail, I thought, “Cool, he’s playing in a band!” Then I realized you were playing all the instruments yourself. That’s really impressive and creative. I enjoyed watching it, Juxi — great job! Very entertaining.

Definitely a Christmas song from one of the best-known Christmas movies, Juxi 😉
In any case, it’s great fun to watch and listen to the whole Juxi Band. And your upright bass skills are already quite polished by now.
It’s also an excellent opportunity to show off all your beautiful guitars at once.
And with the final laugh, the Christmas spirit is perfect. In diesem Sinne schöne Weihnachten dir und deiner Familie.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be at the beginning of next year 2026A detailed announcement will be posted here in the forum in good time.
I look forward to meet you.

Hey Juxi , that’s a bit different, very atmospheric sounding the Juxi band has layered in those parts brilliantly. Nice to see you got to grips with the stand up bass
Your friend Harald has a deep vocal which suits the piece .Happy festive season to you and your family.
