Very nice Wayne.
Excellent playing.
Sorry for the copyright.
I did this song a few years back with my friend JamesB.
I did use the original title and the original video from Lennon.
The copyright scratch it all.
So I had to redo the whole video and I didn’t take ant chances I also change the title of the song to Peace & Joy.
And it passed the copyright. I think I will post it again in the Showcase.AndréM
Merry Christmas

You got it, Wayne, backing track or not. Most of the backing tracks I’ve ever used are intended for people to download and use. Now days if you get a copyright claim, it usually doesn’t mean you can’t use it. It just means that if you start making money from your video, you owe a share of it to the copyright claimant. I haven’t had a video totally blocked on Youtube for probably 15 years or more. That said, both the Beatles and the Eagles have in the past been very aggressive about preventing anyone from playing any of their stuff.

Hey, that sounded pretty good without the backing track, anyway! It was kinda like listening to an isolated track – but I didn’t notice any mistakes, your playing was spot on! Merry Christmas!
Martin W also did this song with an awesome symphonic backing track custom made for him by his brother, you should check it out!

Beautifully played, Wayne! Love the warm and gritty tone on your guitar.
I love the feel you put into the song with some embellishments.
The rhythm was just right also without the backing track.
Actually I prefer that it’s played solo, it sounds much more personal.

Sorry for he copyright thing, but IMO your standalone guitar version is so original and enjoyable that in the end it was better that way! I loved your arrangement, very well played!

I liked it without a backing track. Very nice Wayne. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sounded really nice, Wayne. Wish I could have heard it with the backing track. Love your use of double stops, one of my favourite things to do on guitar.

I love this song, and your version is so authentic, Wayne. Maybe that’s so, because there’s no backing track. In any case, I didn’t miss it.
And your playing is marvelous. Where are the mistakes?Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will be at the beginning of next year 2026A detailed announcement will be posted here in the forum in good time.

Nice take on this classic Wayne , we had the same idea , you embellished it well without the backing track , that’s a bummer with the copyright, I know when I uploaded mine on YouTube I was curious wether it got flagged up or not .
Happy Christmas.

I kinda like this stripped down version, has its own character. Nice tone and smooth playing in time. Great job Wayne!
Merry Xmas to my fellow southpaw! 🎶
