November 2024 Challenge Response – Juxi

Hello my friends!
Here are some of my favorite licks. I used the jam track of EP 129 (key to the highway); the licks mainly are from other EPs like EP 303 and EP 323 – I pointed them out in the video.
This is quick and dirty, but it was fun to play.

I am glad to be part of the challenges – they ensure that I keep playing guitar – and I am looking forward to seeing your challenge responses. Have a nice AM weekend!

Hello John, no that is an FGN, made in Japan. My favorite music store in my hometown Ravensburg sells these. I bought this at a B- stock sale – haven’ t found the error yet. It plays really well and has a high quality of craftsmanship (as far as I am able to tell).

Great video Juxi, and a great selection of licks. I was a bit disappointed – when you did the harmonised chromatic run at the end I thought you were starting the next verse but you faded out. Shame.

I loved your quick and dirty blues, Juxi. But it wasn’t that dirty, rather quite tasteful, how you conjured up a blues from this handful of licks. This performance fits into this fabulous looking blues club.

Brilliantly done, Juxy! Great choice for the backing track and loved how you cleverly and beautifully used the licks, especially playing on the chord changes more than playing only just one scale (which is not easy but sounds very interesting musically). And everything flawlessly played with a great tone: great job!
