Hi
I’ve been looking for a good acoustic guitar (apart from my Taylor GS Mini which is my holiday guitar) for quite a while. When I saw Andy introducing his new Martin 000-28EC a while ago it caught my interest. I loved the color, tone and shape.
I ordered that Martin 000-28 in my local music shop for trial, but they only got the one in Amber color.
But when I saw and played it, I knew this was the right guitar for me. I love that Amber tone color and it plays so smooth in my hands. The smaller scale length (63) feels just ideal for my rather small hands.
And yes, the guitar is far above my budget!I have been playing more finger style acoustic recently and learned that nice lesson during our recent holidays in Devon UK. I had a fantastic time there and even got the chance to meet Andy in his home…and make a short visit at Andertons.
I will post some more pics hopefully soon.Have a great summertime.

Looks great and a beautiful tone to match,
You soon got to grips with this finger style blues lesson with that thumb bass keeping things in check .
Glad you enjoyed your visit to the Uk , the weather was certainly kind .
As you were in Devon did you follow tradition and put cream before jam on your scones,

Wow, you’re doing really well on the fingerpicking, Denise! Some people struggle with the drone bass, but you kept it going nicely. Have you ever played a Taylor Baby guitar? They are strangely small, but super easy to play fingerstyle blues on. A lot of people are not aware that the shorter the scale length, the less tension on the strings, and the easier it is to bend notes and make bar chords.

Played wonderfully. This is fantastic on so many levels. Way to go on the Martin-you can’t go wrong. I am excited for you. You must be so jazzed! It sounds remarkable. Fantastic to finally get to hear the new arrival Amby, especially having seen the photos of it in its case from your visit. When a guitar speaks to you, you have to answer the call and it sounds delicious with the pickup through the amp. (I’ve heard something like that before somewhere 😂)
Another of Brian’s awesome delta blue style lessons and you nailed it. Great control on the droning base and clean picking on the lead lines. Loved the twist you added for the ending. -
