Hi folks , and a happy new year to you all ,
At the last zoom meeting I mentioned that I was having a custom guitar built , by West Valley guitars , a luthier very local to me ( about 6 miles from my doorstep) I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and am very happy with how it’s turned out .
Spec is as follows:
Colour, sea foam green poly ,with oiled and waxed neck and back
Main body and neck American Walnut
Top is mahogany ( from a billiard table dating from 1762)
Fretboard, African ebony
Pick ups home wound humbuckers with coil split on the bridge
Gotoh locking tuners
Hip shot baby grand bridge.
Here’s some pics I do have some of the build process and will post in due course . -

Very nice guita. I have built a couple of guitars myself and know that this bvaby is a beauty. Happy days ahead.

Beautiful guitar…can’t wait to hear how it sounds,

Or the strength of an Oak with roots deep in the ground.

Just a tip for inserting those images so they show up in the post directly. First, position your insertion pointer at the correct location where you want the image tag to be inserted. In your case, at the bottom of your post, with a few line breaks to separate it from the text part.
The secret is to upload the image and after each image uploads a dialog box as shown below pops up and all you have to do is select “Insert into content” link. It puts the correct html tags into your post. It displays the image directly in the post, which is probably what you wanted to do in the first place, but didn’t know how.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

That is a unique beauty, Martin. Can’t wait to hear it and see some of the process. Mostly, I’m jealous you have found an expert luthier to maintain all your guitars.
