Learn to play blues guitar.
Home › Forums › Discuss Songs / Music › My favourite Mexican resort guitarist
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this young guitarist twice, 2018 and last Thursday at my favourite resort, the Joia Paraiso in the Mayan Riviera. I’ve spoken with him each time and was surprised that he recognized me this time.
He plays through an old, beaten up, digital Marshall combo amp with two big 12″ speakers. He’s got a clean boost, a tube screamer, a Boss DS1 distortion pedal and a Fender Pelt fuzz on his board and he gets some amazing tones through his Mexican tele. I’m subscibed. I want to play just like him when I grow up.
Hope you enjoy.

That’s cool you got to connect with him John! He has a great feel for that Telecaster.

Nice post John!! This guy knows his blues sounds!! One of my favs is Paul Killington, who plays solos for Maria Daines!! He really has that blues sound!!
Fuzzy goodness. I’de say you already come pretty close to his playing!

All the best guitarists only occasionally peek at the fretboard and seem to go into a trance like state that includes closed eye’s with perfect sound visualization. They truly feel the sound needed through their fingers.
