Wow, that is beautiful, and i’m so impressed that you built it yourself. Congratulations. Did I mention that’s it’s beautiful?
When are we going to hear it in action? -

Very Good job!
did you build from a kit or order the parts separately?
and did you run into any problems fitting the neck to the body and getting the string height to work for you? -

Thanks Fella’s
I’m an amateur luthier at best. This was a kit, so I just had to finish and assemble. Luckily I have a woodworking background so that helped me quite a bit in that regard.
The neck fit perfectly, the only real problem I had on the kit is that some of the glue from the veneer leaked onto the top and I had to sand that off without burning through the top and losing my wood grain finish.
String height was tricky I actually took it to my local guitar shop to have that fine tuned. When I first put it together to the strings were WAY high off the fretboard.
It may not be a Gibson, but its pretty cool to play a guitar you built yourself. I bet if I ever played a Gibson or Epiphone Id notice some differences, but Im blissfully ignorant and I think it sounds good.

Lovely! And did you save much money by building it yourself?

When it was all said and done Id say it cost about as much as a used Epiphone Les Paul.
It would of been less if I didnt switch out the electronics. The stuff that came with the kit did work and sound ok to practice with, but needed an upgrade if I wanted to do more with it.
Definitely didn’t cost as much as a Gibson 😉
