This old girl was a find in a local charity shop here in Newark, they don’t make acoustics like this anymore, the best word I can describe her is solid as a tank,

I believe she will need a refret eventually, but she still sounds good, but eventually she will be heading to Luthier for some work,

I have had thoughts on selling the EKO, but somedays you just say, when is the next time you will own a classic like this,

Ive toyed with the notion of buying one, they come up for sale here in Scotland from time to time and they always seem to be in very good condition.

Golumbs was a very well known musical instrument shop here in Glasgow, and that shop was only a few miles from where i live, sadly they are no longer in business.
Are EKO guitars still made?, I know they were built in Italy and had a bolt on neck.

                Brian,
Looks in great shape. Post a sound sample when you get a chance.

                  Hi Brian,
what a surprise. I also have such a wonderful old Italian EKO-Guitar from 1964 – a 12-string Sister of yours. It was my first Acoustic-Guitar and still in best Condition and Sound. Over the years I made some modifications like built-in pickups and mechanics (metal). Have a look to the this timeless beauty.

                  Dieter

P.S. I paid DM 220 (€ 110) for it. My monthly salary at that time was DM 170.

Very nice, I paid just £15 quid for my Eko, a few years ago, but I know it’s worth much more, but the debate is to get her sorted, but these old girls are keepers, have you notice the distinct tone they have,

If I do get it sorted then obviously the money spent on her, it will mean I will keep it, and to think a similar built guitar like this today would not be cheap,
