Must have had the phone upside down. Now I play left handed!

richard, this BB king style lesson is really cool to focus on an repeat,, and I see some of that vibrato etc, very close indeed! lot of fun I know, but I like to see you tighten it spot on along with the tab and do them subtle vibratos too,,! also like your improvisation but wow playing lefty!, you did this because you had problem with fingers a few moths ago? pardon me if you were always a lefty guitarist, seen the acoustic righty lefty pretty amazing if you play either! keep jamtracking! lol

Damn good Richard. This is a very nice lead part that I like.
You already have a pretty good handle on this part. I liked it.
I also think that this part can be installed very well somewhere.
Anyway, absolutely thumbs up; very cool.
Regardless of that, you are the first person who can play guitar both limks and right.
I do not know how I could coordinate that; my brain is certainly not designed for that.
            Respect!!!

Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

I’m liking your PRS Richard, I may or may not have a touch of G.A.S. right now..B.B king style lessons are always a hit for me. 100% enjoyed your rendition..

Nice job, Richard, I really enjoyed listening to this one. Great job on the vibrato, especially on the bends. Great to see you back at it. I sometimes play with a fellow who is actually left handed. Drives me crazy, I can never figure out what he’s doing.
I don”t know why people are referring to this as a B.B style lesson, Brian cited Santana, Clapton, David Gilmour influences. For me it sounds more like a Gary Moore piece.

Hey Richard, love the way you attack those notes. Especially on the bends and vibrato. Lot of feel and emotion into this one. Sounds great!

I don’t know that microlesson at all (yet), so I don’t what part was the lesson and what part was the improv. But it seems to me like you put a lot of improv into it, and played lesson + improv very well indeed. High marks for everything: Phrasing, vibrato, bends, guitar setup, video. Looks like you have a really cool music studio.

Some nice bends and great tones you’re playing there, Richard! Also, nice guitar, you made me look it up 🙂

Being the AM nerd that I am and to clarify the confusion, I’ll just mention that this is actually EP256 (but in ML055 Brian was showing how to play the rhythm part) and Richard is not really playing left handed, the image is flipped (see the computer screen behind him)
                      😉

                        Richard,
Great tone! I hadn’t heard this jam track and you played a great lead over it. That PRS sounds really sweet on this and you had some great bends and BBKing style vibrato. Congrats!

Thank you for commenting. There was a recent software upgrade on my phone that caused the video to be recorded in mirror image. So no, I can’t play left handed.
I happened upon ML055 before ever looking at EP256. I realized this was a rhythm to a lead I hadn’t heard. So I decided to see how I might play over the same rhythm before hearing what Brian did. So it isn’t really ML055, nor EP256. It was a total impromptu noodle fest. I just plugged in, kicked on the tube screamer and played. I have been working on my vibrato and bends, and I have a long ways to go, but feel I have improved some. I think I could take elements from this and craft a proper solo. I had fun doing it.
I’m just happy to be playing again and promise better in the future.
                          I appreciate everyone’s support.

Thanks for the clarification Richard. It’s even more impressive that you did everything impromptu! Glad to see you playing again and having fun with it 🙂

Thank you Jola. I have been following you on AM, and you have been improving by leaps and bounds.

I was expecting some kind of microlesson, but you improvised EP256 for the entire backing tracing track!
Nice playing, Richard. Great bends and vibrato. Fantastic sound out of your PRS. Excellent phrasing throughout, which kept it interesting all the way.
I’ve missed your posts. Great to see you back in action again.

Thank you Larry. My finger still bothers me some but it’s great to be playing again. I found the best way to work on vibrato is to record it and listen to it later. So that is really how this came about. Consistancy and control is what I’m aiming for and I have a long way to go.
Good health to you Larry. I look forward to hearing some more of your playing.
