Hello -a while back I came upon a lesson that offered “stuff” I could actually play by combing a portion out of a number of different genres–like a blues phrase, a country lick and ?–they were all explained on the same lesson but I cannot find it –any help would be well….helpful.
Thank you -Kevin -

That’s not a lot to go on. Any of the hundreds of beginner lessons should offer plenty of material for you to play.
Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Hi Kevin m,
I think you may be talking about ML123 where Brian takes a lick or phrase out of the previous four lessons in various musical styles and explains each lick in detail then he combines them together over a new chord sequence.
By adapting the timing of each phrase slightly they blend together into a great sounding new solo which complements the passing chords.
Actually all the previous micro lessons about licks that build naturally out of certain CAGED chord shapes are very helpful. ML123 shows how to combine four chosen phrases to make a brilliant, varied sounding song.

I just reviewed that particular lesson and it is essentially a compilation of triads played in a musical way. There was one major pentatonic lick that was phrased in a way that I have never considered before, so that lick went right into my bag phrasing variations. Not sure how I missed that lesson, but many members seemed to like it a lot.
Rob, are you the one that emailed Brian that inspired the lesson? He mentioned the name Rob as the one who emailed him.
