Hi everyone,
Here’s my efforts for this months challenge.
I took Brian’s suggestion and created my own backing track to go over micro lesson 073.
If you haven’t checked out that lesson yet, then I highly recommend it.
You’ll definitely get something out of it.
First round are Brian’s licks then the second is me adding some variations while staying in the first position.
Hope you enjoy it.
Excited to see what everyone has come up with.
Liam.

Nice driving rhythm on the jam track. Had my toe tapping! Nice one.
Be kind to yourself (especially when you're trying to play this instrument!)

Really cool Liam! We took a similar pathway by choosing a micro lesson although you’ve gone with the multi instrumentalist approach. Very catchy single lines, so well put together! 👏👏🌟👏👏 Keep on pickin’ and all the best! 🥸🎸🥸

As always, you did put together an awesome rhythm section, Liam: it’s a real toe-tapper! And then played very well both the Brian’s parts and your own very nice composition! Really enjoyable and inspiring!

Awesome job on what you did with ML073, you have already have the skillset to layering songs but to take this arrangement to another level and have it band ready. Good on you, it was great. It’s my choice of lesson too.

I agree with Laurel. You took ML073 to a whole new level. You’ve got a great ear for rhythm and complimentary layers which build to a complete sound. But most important is was a proper toe tapper as we’ve come to expect from Liam’s studio 🙂

Good version of you, Liam. Nice blues with a cool groove. Thumbs up.
Play guitar just like you live; don't get bogged down in theory, it's just a tool without feeling.

Well after I’d gotten over the mauve/ lilac lighting effects I was really impressed by the way that you tackled this one. Great job.

Now that got my head bopping up and down. Solid well timed beat and notes.

Playing lead in only the first position is HARD! You managed to make it work really well, however, and seriously got rockin’ in the last half minute or so. Props, also, for creating your own trio with three different guitars. (The correct number of guitars to own, by the way, is the number you have plus one.)

Great submission Liam – that was a really cracking rhythm that you set up and an excellent lead played over it. Like everyone else – it got my toe tapping too.

Beautifully played Liam, I liked it all but the bends were absolutely perfect, especially the very slight bend at the 5th fret, barring with your little finger. Impressive. I shall definitely be checking this micro lesson.

You make a great band Liam. From the start your scratch rhythm signaled a fun arrangement. Very professionally played. Your variations added great feeling!

Great submission Liam! And thanks for the suggestion, I’ll go for that ML!

I really enjoy seeing with what you come up. You are really getting good performing complimentary instruments and orchestrating full scale band projects. I like what you did with this. Very catchy. Your rhythm was captivating and your lead chops were tasty!John

Liam, you KISSed this very well!!! Your licks are spot on and not super difficult to play. However, they sound AMAZING. You followed the #1 with Blues licks – NOT to start them Beat One! And you leave space. Great job! B
