        Hi,

I’m looking for lessons similar to EP471 that demonstrated the mapping of CAGED shapes to major/minor pentatonic patterns. Lessons that would add triads to the mix would be welcomed.

There’s so many great lessons but I find it tough to search them to find what I’m looking for. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

        Thanks!

If you hover over My Account there should be a My Couse’s link and in there is the entire CAGED course. For example, EP556 is the one on the C-Shape and there are pdfs that map all that stuff out for you. It’s in the deep dive section.

EP557 is on the E-Shape and the pdf’s map out the scales and arpeggio’s that are linked to it.

Go slow and practice correct technique, and your abilities will dramatically improve.

Great, thanks. I’ve started the CAGED course but haven’t gotten to the deep dives!

              Fran,

There’s a CAGED system series EP556-560 that looks at each CAGED shape and what can be found within each shape.

                Hi John,

Appreciate your reply. I just came across another response from you on the best way to start putting all this info together…I think it was in response to a “licks” thread. Your suggestion was along the same lines as what I’m trying to do which is try and narrow the scope and start with just one thing.

I liked your guidance and it made me feel like I’m more or less choosing a valid path.

                Fran
