I posted this video of KWS closing out the Toronto Experience Hendrix show. What I never noticed was that at 5:50 his high E goes flying off his guitar and he finishes 2 1/2 minutes more solo without skipping a beat. The crowd doesn’t know the difference. How pro is that?

Hey John,
Thanks for those posts. I spent a good bit of time yesterday thinking about how proficient he was at hammer ons, pull offs. Usually when people employ this technique in a prolonged way it looses some melodic quality. Not so in this case. A real treat.
Ron
That is very pro!

Then the stage hand comes out and grabs the string off the amp. 🙂
There used to be a great little independent music store in town and the owner had some bands come in and play out in the back. The two I remember seeing were Dick Dale and a young 17 year old Kenny Wayne Sheppard. He was just starting out traveling with his dad and a few musicians. He played a few songs and talked with us and signed some posters. He talked about being able to play all of SRV’s songs and was now working on some of his own. That turned out pretty well!
