June 21: We Are Flying Away – Bobby Ut

My Sweetheart Lilia leaves me to visit her Dear Mama & Sista for a month in May. Lilia writes some “poem” to me as she waits for her 757 Bird to fly to Kharkiv, Ukraine. Robert Frost wishes he had her gifts – ok, I’m a little bias – LOL!
I took her words and turned it into this song. Our first “original” – Flying Away. The “improv” part is me mashing together Jimi/John/Brian/Eric/Justin/Griff/Joe/Michael/ect

Very nice original composition Bob. I especially liked the Little Wing quotes in the beginning. Fits perfectly with the “Flying Away” motif. I also liked the B to Eminor change. Secondary Dominants in action. Nice job, and sounds very musical, and it sounds like you ‘N@.

I love the Hendrix-style intro, great chord progression fits formula nicely. Your solo is beautiful as well… the solo is over the top actually. Has a Jerry Garcia flavor but it’s all yours brother.
