Hopefully this is in the right place!
Oh alright I wasn’t actually planting potatoes just thinking about it but I was clearing the ground earlier in the year!

๐๐๐ Your introduction made me laugh out loud, Jenny – “I don’t even know what I’m doing any more!” ๐๐๐
We’re always our own worst critics, aren’t we! So, for what it’s worth, I find your submissions to be one of the highlights each month, and something I truly look forward to – I really mean that! I think your playing, recording and presentation have come on in leaps and bounds. And now – singing too ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ค
I don’t know if you’ve submitted anything before that includes you singing, but if so I’ve missed it! I really like your voice and would love to hear more. Thoroughly enjoyed this performance – well done!

Fantastic! Love the singing. Way to take the concept and use it for a real song ๐

Ah Jenny, I now make direct for your submissions as I really like them. Yor intro’s are artwork.
But also, this is a great sound. There’s a folk tradition flavour therein the playing and the rhythm that I found a bit hypnotic. Then there’s your lovely voice! You kept that quiet until now! More please! Finally, I loved the story telling of your flint find while planting potatoes. Creative & brilliant. ๐

The big exhalation at the beginning of your playing spoke volumes about how seriously you took this effort, and I had to listen a couple times to make out the lyrics which — correct me if I’m wrong — explained how you dug up those flinty artifacts while planting potatoes,
(Granted, this may have been a common theme among the ancient Mesopotamians, but it is not your usual FM radio material.)
Anyway, this was in fact a splendid use of harmonized thirds even if you are unclear as to what they are. ,

Very creative, Jenny. Love how you worked your archeological discovery into a song featuring harmonized thirds. Youโve got a nice voice. Great start with singing and playing guitar.

For not knowing what you’re doing, that sounds pretty wonderful and creative. Jenny. I would say let your creativity flow without knowing too much. If it leads to such beautiful sounding results.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup will probably take place in the second half of AugustThere will be a detailed announcement here in the forum in good time.
I look forward to meet you.

You are one of the best entertainers out there, Jenny. I love how you always go like “Duh, I don’t know what I’m doing”, and then you play (and sometimes sing) something awesome. I’m going to talk to the BBC and see if I can get you a spot in the Glastonbury line-up next time it comes around.

Your introduction made me laugh out loud, Jenny โ โI donโt even know what Iโm doing any more!โ
Priceless-you have a wonderful sense of humor and I adore your humility.
What a sweet, earthy and dulcet voice. Please sing for us more. You should grab an acoustic and start churning out more beautiful tunes as such. Thanks for sharing.JH

Jenny, that was a nice simple tune you created using 3rds and you really made it shine by singing along with it. Well done. Cheers, Pap

Haha, Jenny, I think you’re adorable, I love your sense of humor – or humour, as you would write it ๐
The challenge was hard indeed but your delivery was excellent, and yes, you have a great voice. I heard it before and would like to hear it more, too. That was also a great little composition, great job, Jenny!

I think that was a really great start of a potato blues Jennifer, and in the process, demonstrating the harmonized 3rd on your chord. Nice progression, going down the flat 7th chord then to the 4th. You seriously already have all the major ingredients of a blues song. Also, great voice!

Hey Jennifer, you can sing, too! I didn’t know what to expect from your introduction, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I think, you should play guitar and sing along to it, the potato song was a real treat!
