Good Morning Everyone,
I have not had opportunity to work on the June Challenge simply due to so many OTHER wonderful endeavors with family and friends! The grandkids are out of school and though the weather is quite warm there has been so much to enjoy!HOWEVER, this month’s Challenge did introduce me to EP501 which I adore listening to – if not attempting to ‘play’!
I’ve promised myself to return to that attempt when time permits for my own gratification!Though I’ve never been to my ancestral country of France – each time I hear EP501 it seems to carry me to some lovely little French Cafe as in Van Gogh’s famous painting!
I hope Brian doesn’t mind but I have personally re-titled EP501: “The French Terrace.”I will try to at least join the group this month by reviewing as many of the submissions as I can, which will continue thru the coming week, and hope to return with the July challenge.
Good Wishes to all,
“Laissez les bon temps rouler“

Grandkids are a blessing for sure aren’t they? It’s funny but I, also never having travelled to France, thought this pice brought visions of a tiny French bistro.

Thank you for your visual inspiration Marie! So nice to see how EP501 inspired us in so many different ways!

Enjoy your family, Marie!
Thank you for all the nice comments. I can relate to how you think of a french terrace when listening to this lesson. Looking forward to hearing your version one day 🙂🎸JoLa

Enjoy your family life, Marie. I‘m looking forward to hear you again in the challenges. Fine idea to interpret Brian‘s tune with a VanGogh painting. It matches.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
The next Meetup is expected to take place in November 2025There will be a detailed announcement here in the forum in good time.
I look forward to meet you.

Hi Marie:
Great to hear you’re in the midst of wonderful stuff with family and friends. So glad you keep in touch. Your vision of 501 fits well. Love your Cafe Terrace at Night VG painting. Looks like a perfect spot to enjoy wine, guitar music, friends, and family!Cheers, Tom

Marie, I have been busy with family too. Look forward to hearing from you in the future. BTW, I have been to France many times and I look forward to going back. There is so much to do there. I love the Louvre and would like to spend a couple weeks going through it. Cheers. Pap

Hey Pap,
Good to hear from you.
I would love to have gotten to visit France before reaching my 70s. Although I’m in really good health with no major limitations (except that nap I need most afternoons-LOL) I kinda feel that adventure to visit Marsaille where my great-grandfather came from is now out of reach. But I’m glad to hear you speak favorably France. Yes, Brian’s tune for the June Challenge just really sounds to me like the backdrop music for a lovely little French cafe – in my own mind anyway.
