Two main ideas i put in here:
-Reggae style hits on the 2 and 4, and using the “slide the minor chord up 2 frets” trick (which I’ve heard already on several other submissions!)
-“The Meters” style funky single note rhythmic riffs.from there I just added in fill licks, and kind of made it into a call and response piece.
Thanks for listening! 🙂

Excellent work with the sliding triads chords and with the single lines funky rhythm, Alan! Enjoyed to listen to it.

Hmmm nice! I like the funky beat, then you came in with the bass line which sounded really cool and contrasted well and then your lead section was a bit like a singer. Superb!

Great funky rhythm👍. Love these short notes and fills. I like how you made it a call&response Blues! Nice you played these triads on different positions.
Well done.

I like how you built this up, Alan. Introducing the rhythm first and developing it with embellishments and additions gives your piece so much tension. Great!

Nice arrangement, Alan. Love the funky strums at the beginning and as Manfred said build it up with lead lines and bass runs. Very cool.

Funky rhythm was a great idea to use over this track. So clearly demonstrated by putting each element into a call and response. Good one.

Hi Alan, love the reggae chord punches. I also enjoyed the bluesy flavor of those single-note lines. Great ideas! I kept wanting to play with the levels a bit and bring up the volume on the backing track… maybe it’s just my poor computer speakers.

Lots of great ideas there Alan and all with bags of funky feel and who doesn’t love funky rhythm playing 😍. The meters style variation was epic, could have listened to that all day.
