Real nice Ken, there was something ‘less than obvious’ about your note choices – especially at the start – with a lovely dark mood coming through. Great tone – right up my street – and you look so relaxed. Well played.

Right out of the gate, I like the use of repetition and variation. The verses have a complete arc; each one a complete thought, yet unique. Well done 🙂

Woa, very good Ken. It was so good and was over before I knew it. Nice job man. Tone, licks, moody, everything really sounded beautiful especially those long, slow bends and releases.

This is beautifully played Ken. I like the way you had confidence to leave some breathing spaces. Well played.

This was a first class improvisation, Ken. And a great tone you have dialed in. I think, I see you the first time in the challenges. If it is so, a fabulous debut!

Thank you Manfred. This is my first time posting. I liked the idea of no practice improvising 🙂

Certainly the most relaxed player this weekend and your improv was a super cool example of what can be achieved with a haunting motif and accompanying licks.

Thank you Richard, I like using the minor pentatonic a lot for that reason. 🙂

Very nice improv, well played.
Great tone but a little more volume to put the solo more in front.
Well doneAndréM

Thank you Andre’. Yes I had the phone up by the speaker playing the tune and I should have turned up my amp a little bit. 🙂

Excellent post Ken. Your note choices and bends sounded great and soared over the backing tracking with your tone and sustain settings. Very cool. Tom

From one Ken to another, that was quite soulful, I really enjoyed both listening, and watching your unique and relaxed style

Ken
That is pretty darn tasty, juicy, and sultry. Good work on the phrasing and space you created. It looks like you are having a ball with that SG. Great stuff!JH

Hi John, thank you. I love my SG for bluesy stuff. The frets are so smooth!

Loved it Ken! You came out swinging for the fences and hit a home run! Great variety and style!

Wow, that’s one incredible take! A lot was happening there and I really liked that distorted tone staying in the background, kind of like coming from a neighbor or something. Very cool!
