July 2023 Challenge response [Livio]

Hello to all friends of active Melody.
For the July challenge I chose to use the suggestions of ep524 creating a melody on a personal backing track in B major.
I used all positions except the highest which took me to treacherous keys.

Fantastic job, Livio! Great melodic lines with a very tight and catchy rhythm. With only one chord you can keep the listener’s attention alive, moving quickly between different melodic and groove patterns! The sound of your nylon guitar adds something dreamy and sweet. Great submission.

The sight and sound of the waterfall is a great introduction to your piece. Love the textured sound of your acoustic melody over the steady acoustic rhythm. Interesting use of the fretboard span to create your sound. And naturally, the harmonies fit perfectly. Very enjoyable.

Just came back from a very long walk, sat down, and listened to your submission – it just couldn’t be any more perfect for the moment! Very meditative piece, relaxing but also intriguing at the same time. I loved the rhythmic background and the cascade (similar to a waterfall) of lead notes played on nylon strings, with beautiful dynamics… Very cool, Livio – I enjoyed this very much 🙂
